Because there are so many people in Whanganui (who don’t already have a GP) we are giving preference to individuals and whanāu who are not enrolled with another practice or who are new to the district. Flu Vaccines

Flu vaccines

It is Important to your flu vaccine before the flu season hits. That's why it's important to boost your protection with a flu jab. They’re available from 1st April and are free for those who meet the current criteria. AVAILABLE NOW!! Call the clinic today and book your appointment and check if you are eligible for a free vaccine now.

The 2024 flu vaccination is underway at St Johns Medical Centre now. It is free for all aged 65 years and over, for those from 6 months to under 65 years with eligible conditions and it is free to all pregnant women. Patients with mental health disorders are also eligible for free vaccination. Children 4 years of age and under with respiratory disorder are also eligible for free vaccinations. Others can have the vaccine for a fee. Call the clinic today and book your appointment and check if you are eligible for a free vaccine now.

A health improvement practitioner is a registered health practitioner. HIPs provide support for people with concerns about mental health, addiction, long-term conditions and general wellbeing. They offer a free service and are based in general practice and provide brief interventions to improve wellbeing.
